MADELEINE SCHILLING

About
Madeleine Schilling, a French-German artist based in Brussels, devoted herself to mural painting a few years ago. Her foremost source of inspiration is nature, whose flora and fauna she brings back to life through her frescoes. Each piece she designs for her clients is unique — conceived as a fragment of a dream woven into a living space.
Through her creations, she seeks to leave a botanical and poetic imprint within interiors, turning them into silent witnesses to the stories, families, and lives they shelter. During the creative process, she inhabits the space; yet, as soon as her brush rests, the story is no longer hers — it belongs to the place and to those who live within it.
Her aesthetic world is also nourished by jewellery, architecture, and fashion. Each project begins with small-scale studies, often in watercolour, allowing her to create samples and refine her vision before unfolding it on the walls.
Madeleine works on international projects and collaborates regularly with interior designers and architects.
