Madeleine Schilling, a French-German artist living in Brussels, addresses the intimate universe of inhabited places. The world of the interior is of particular concern to her, drawing inspiration from ancient references and blending them with the reality of the modern world.Telling stories, proposing dreams through symbols and melancholic movements with different mediums while following her aesthetic framework became a priority for the designer. From hand-painted screens to bronze candleholders and wall paintings, Madeleine uses artisanal techniques for utilitarian, decorative and ornamental purposes that allow her aesthetic universe to shine through in so many varied objects that all have the same vein, to propose a mysterious universe full of dreams and leave room for beauty.
